Single Rottweiler Registration (one dog)
If you need to register a single Rottweiler, use the ABA single dog registration forms. You can submit online for convenience, or choose print & mail.
Pedigree/genealogy is not required, but sharing known info helps strengthen your dog’s recorded family history over time.

*** Having both parents registered with the ABA is encouraged for better long-term family tracking. Only having one ABA registered can significantly impact your dogs' Family tracking over time. ALL registries are independent and do not freely share genealogy data.
Rottweiler Litter Registration
If you’re a breeder and need to register an Rottweiler litter, select the ABA litter registration option. Litter registration is priced by litter size: $10 per pup for the first 10 pups; pups after the 10th are free. At least one parent must be ABA registered, or can be done simultaneously with litter. Both litter parents must fall within our acceptable breed classes. Pictures of both parents are required with all litter registrations.
Litter Pup Transfer of Registration: If Your Breeder Pre-Registered Your Pup
If your Rottweiler puppy was pre-registered by the breeder through litter registration, ownership transfer instructions are located on the back of the pup’s certificate. This is a free process. Please do not use the single dog registration for transfers. It is the wrong form and charges a fee. We do refund this fee for error submissions, but the payment processor still keeps a small portion of the refund. Also, submitting the wrong form will delay processing as each form has its own unique requirements.
Litter pup transfers finalize ownership details, help keep records accurate over time, and provide new owners with their own custom paperwork in their name.
